President Kim Il Sung met Yun I Sang several times and highly praised him for creating laudable music pieces with national conscience in a foreign land.

Leader Kim Jong Il gave instructions on establishing the Yun I Sang Music Institute and saw to it that the institute turned into a comprehensive music research center capable of playing a big role in developing the music art of the country and conducting the movement for national reunification.

Over the past three decades all the officials and employees of the institute have achieved successes in the study of music science, editing and publication, music creation and performing activities.

A meeting took place at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on Friday.

Present at the meeting were Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, officials concerned, officials, employees of the institute and creators and artistes of national art organizations.
