DPRK Sportsmen Bag Gold Medals at 17th Asian Games

| Inchon, September 27 (KCNA Correspondent) -- DPRK sportsmen Jong Hak Jin and Kim Ji Song on Saturday placed first respectively in the 57kg category of the men's freestyle wrestling and in the men's individual mixed 10m running target of the 17th Asian Games. Wrestler Jong Hak Jin defeated its Mongolian rival 11-8 in the preliminaries, its Japanese rival 4-2 in the semifinals, and its Kazakh rival 8-6 in the finals, grabbing a gold. Kim Ji Song scored 96 points in the first round, 98 points in the second round, 95 points in the third and fourth rounds respectively, finishing the first with the total points of 384. On the same day DPRK players came second in the men's team mixed 10m running target. |
