Open-air Performances at Rungna People's Pleasure Park

Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- Open-air performances have been staged at the Rungna People's Pleasure Park in Pyongyang every evening. Acrobats of the National Circus gave their performances from September 25 to 27. And then the Samjiyon Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe appeared on the stage from September 28. The band's performance, which starts with mixed vocal sixtet "Ode to the Motherland", has been highly acclaimed by the audience. Kim Kwang Sik, chairman of the youth league committee of a faculty of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, told KCNA: I feel refreshed to see the evening performance given by the well-known Samjiyon Band on this picturesque Rungna Islet. The performance is instilling into the minds of audience the gratitude to the socialist homeland. Ri Song Man, a resident living in Rungna-dong No. 2, Taedonggang District, said: The performance makes me exited. And it encourages all the audience to be fully determined to work harder for the wellbeing of the motherland under the leadership of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. Merited Artiste Ri Sun Ae, head of the band and conductor, said: It is beyond my imagination that the performance has been highly acclaimed by the audience, evoking stormy cheers. We will do our best to encourage all the citizens to make contributions to achieving the prosperity of the motherland. The band's performance will go on till September 30. |
