S. Korean Authorities' Moves to Open Rice Market Slammed

| Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The south Korean peasants organizations including the Federation of Peasants Associations held a meeting in Seoul on Sept. 27 in protest against the puppet authorities' moves to open the rice market, according to the south Korean MBC. The organizations said that to totally open the rice market is little short of giving up agriculture. The regime asserted that it would protect agriculture through the "high tariff", but the situation goes to prove that it can not stand up against outside forces' pressure, they noted. They will turn out in the actions to check the moves to open the rice market in order to protect the food sovereignty and the right to existence. |
