As of Sept. 29, the DPRK bagged eight gold medals, eight silvers and 11 bronzes.

Jong Mu Hyon, a Pyongyang citizen, told KCNA that all his family members are looking forward to get more news about the DPRK's successes at the Games.

Kim Hak, a teacher of the Sinuiju University of Light Industry, said:

I was deeply moved to see our winners looking up at the DPRK flag with tears of joy on the podium. I am telling my students that they should study harder in order to glorify the honor of the motherland as the winners have done.

Kim Hwan Su, a worker of the Sangwon Cement Complex, said he has raised cheers upon hearing the news that the DPRK footballers won victories one after another.

Jong Il Jin, a student of the Kim Chaek University of Technology, expressed his earnest greetings of cheers to the DPRK's athletes attending the 17th Asian Games.
