Toshikazu Suzuki, chairperson of the Shizuoka Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected adviser of the liaison society.

At the inaugural meeting the members of the liaison society expressed their resolution to render positive efforts for the Japan-DPRK friendship movement including the application of the tuition-waiver program to Korean schools, correct understanding of history and normalization of Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations in the spirit of peace and friendship, expressing their pleasure over the inauguration of the liaison society.

Kenichi Ogami, secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, congratulated the inauguration of the liaison society, adding:

There is growing interest among the world people in Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism which was formulated by First Secretary Kim Jong Un, and the number of those willing to learn after his warm affection for the people is on increase.

The preparations for founding the study groups of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism are brisk across Japan.
