Workshop on Discrete Math and Computational Geometry Given in DPRK

| Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- A workshop on discrete mathematics and computational geometry took place at the e-library of Kim Il Sung University here from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 in attendance of teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology. The workshop, given by Prof. Stephan Langerman of Universite Libre de Bruxelles of Belgium and Prof. Janos Pach of Lausanne Engineering University in Switzerland, dealt with latest successes made in discrete mathematics, the orientation of its development and some problems arising in application of computational geometry. Expressing satisfaction over the successful workshop, Janos Pach hoped that international academic exchange with DPRK scholars would get more brisk. |
