Present there were Ju Yong Il, chairman of the "Old Man" Association for Korean Cultural Tradition in Uzbekistan, heads of art troupes of overseas Koreans and other compatriots.

Displayed there was a photo of leader Kim Jong Il meeting with South Korean "President" Roh Moo Hyun in Pyongyang in October of 2007.

Also on display were photos of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un giving field guidance to units of the Korean People's Army and different fields of the national economy.

Displayed there were the full text of the October 4 declaration and photos showing the development of the DPRK.

Ju Yong Il said that the WPK founded by President Kim Il Sung on Oct. 10, 1945 has developed into a genuine party serving the people, both in name and reality, while invariably preserving its revolutionary nature and a tested and seasoned revolutionary party leading the revolution and construction to victory only under the guidance of Kim Jong Il.

If the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration agreed upon by the north and the south of Korea are sincerely implemented, there will be no insurmountable difficulties in the inter-Korean relations and the reunification issue, he noted, calling on all Koreans to make contributions to the reunification of Korea and building of a thriving nation under the uplifted banner of the historic north-south joint declarations, keeping pace with the people in the homeland.

The event was followed by an art performance.
