Present there on invitation were players, coaches and officials who participated in the games.

Present there were Hwang Pyong So, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Ki Nam and other senior officials of the party, state and army, chairmen of the associations of the relevant events who participated in the games, senior officials of supporter units, officials concerned and families of players.

Choe Ryong Hae in a speech warmly congratulated players and coaches who returned home after proving successful at the games upon the authorization of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

The signal successes made by DPRK sportspersons is an event of special mention as they demonstrated before the world the dignity and honor of Songun Korea making a leap forward toward a sports power and an all-people great jubilee which greatly encouraged the army and people who turned out to build a thriving nation in the spirit of creating the Korean speed, the speaker said, and went on:

The DPRK's players and coaches won victory after victory in the games and thus fully demonstrated their great abilities as the strongest team, strongest sportspersons in Asia and greatly contributed to promoting national reconciliation and unity and friendship and peace with various countries.

The players and coaches, who presented such gifts as gold medals to the mother party and who creditably lived up to the expectation of the country and the people who trained and projected them, are, indeed, the admirable sons and daughters of the nation who deserve the praise of the whole country.

The speaker called for intensifying trainings the way the anti-Japanese guerillas did in Mt. Paektu and thus consolidating the achievements made in the games and more proudly demonstrating the invincible spirit and might of the country by grabbing gold medals at international tournaments for winning Asian and world titles in the future, too.
