The federal formula calls for leaving the two differing social systems as they are in a unified federal state. Therefore, it is the most peaceful reunification formula as it leaves no reason to clash in the course of achieving the reunification and it is free from the danger of a war.

If the federal formula is put into force, it is possible to promote the mutual understanding between the north and the south, facilitate the national reconciliation and unity and terminate the division of the country caused by outside forces.

If the federal formula is applied and national unity achieved, tension on the Korean Peninsula will be defused and it will greatly contribute to global peace and security.

The north and the south in the historic June 15 joint declaration recognized commonness of the north-proposed low-level federation and the south-proposed confederation and agreed to work for reunification in this direction. This was the great success made by the north and the south in confirming the way of reunification common to the nation.

No force can quell the Korean nation's will to carve out its rosy future by realizing the proposal for achieving reunification by federal formula.

There is no need to copy other country's mode of reunification or propose any other mode.
