The center has standardized the production of seed-covering material, made with mixtures of insecticide, stimulants to germination, nutrients, etc., while completing the process of seed-covering on an industrial basis.

The new seed-coating material helps seedlings to be safe from underground insects and damages caused by drought and coldness, raising the rate of germination with no adverse effect on environment.

It has been introduced to co-op farms in Pyongyang and South Hwanghae Province, proving highly effective.
