U.S. Headquarters of Pomminryon Calls for Independent Solution to Korea's Reunification Issue

Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) made public a declaration on October 4, the 7th anniversary of the October 4 declaration.

The October 4 declaration adopted in the wake of the June 15 joint declaration which turned the history of national division into a history of reunification instilled the hope for reunification into the Koreans, the declaration said.

Had the north-south joint declarations been implemented, the Korean nation would have enjoyed the joy of reunification, it noted.

The reunification of the nation is possible only when the joint declarations are implemented, it held.

It called for independently settling the reunification issue by firmly preserving and implementing the joint declarations.
