Figure of Regional Body Wishes Korean People Success in Their Struggle

| Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- The coordinating secretary of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization issued a statement on Oct. 1 in celebration of the 69th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). The statement said: Korea was divided into the north and the south after the Second World War and the DPRK was reduced to ashes during the Korean War provoked by the U.S. imperialists. President Kim Il Sung wisely led the WPK and the Korean people in their efforts for the postwar rehabilitation and construction. Leader Kim Jong Il energetically steered the Korean people in their efforts to reunify the country. Marshal Kim Jong Un is in the van of the struggle for national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, frustrating the vicious moves of the U.S. imperialists and other hostile forces. The organization together with the world peace-loving people warmly congratulates the WPK on its 69th birthday. We wish the Korean people greater success in their future endeavors. |
