Floral Tribute Paid to Statues of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 69th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Seen before the statues on Mansu Hill was a floral basket from Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the name of party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, institutions, industrial establishments, farms and schools in Pyongyang. Bouquets and flowers were also laid before the statues.

The Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front also placed a floral basket before the statues.

The visitors paid tribute to the statues.

Placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, the Mansudae Art Studio and portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in various places in Pyongyang were floral baskets in the name of units of the People's Army, institutions and enterprises, bouquets and flowers.

Servicepersons, working people, school youth and children across the country visited the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and mosaics depicting smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in their residential areas.
