There were the finals of junior women's football, women's basketball, men's volleyball, men's and women's 1 500m race, hurdle race, Korean wrestling and tug-of-war.

Among the spectators were Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Choe Ryong Hae and senior officials of the party and state, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea, members of the State Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, senior officials of relevant units, members of the cheer-leading squads of provinces (municipalities), working people, youth and students in the city.

Also among the spectators were players and coaches who participated in the 17th Asian Games and overseas Koreans.

At the end of the matches the results of the games were announced.

Pyongyang City came first, grabbing a trophy cup.

Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces placed the second and third.

The contest offered an important occasion for raising the sports enthusiasm true to the WPK's plan for building a sports power and making sound and lively revolutionary spirit pervade the country making a drive of building a thriving nation.
