WPK's Birthday Marked in Benin, Nigeria
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- A joint meeting took place in Benin and a photo exhibition and film show in Nigeria on Oct. 3 to mark the 69th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

On display at the venue of the photo exhibition were photos documenting revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and other photos showing the path of victory covered by the WPK.

Films shown included Korean film "Monument to Party Founding".

The chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" said:

The WPK is demonstrating its might as an ever-victorious party. This is ascribable to the great guiding idea and unity and cohesion of the whole party.

The Korean people call the WPK a mother party and absolutely trust and follow it. It is the truth of history that the party with such mass foundation is sure to win.

A department director of the Ministry of Labor in Yobe State, Nigeria said that Kim Jong Il wisely led the WPK so that it might dynamically push forward the overall cause of socialism with the army as a driving force and mainstay of the revolution.

An official of the Franoson Manyon International Company Ltd. of Nigeria and other speakers said that the WPK and the Korean people are putting spurs to the building of a highly civilized socialist nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.
