The WPK which organizes and guides all the victories of the Korean people was founded on October 10, 1945.

Under the guidance of the WPK the Korean revolution has recorded an ever-victorious history, holding aloft the banner of the Juche idea, the Songun idea.

Since its birth the WPK has put primary efforts to the army building and its development.

The army and people of the DPRK beat back the U.S. armed invasion aimed to nip the less than two years old DPRK in the bud and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country. This was entirely possible thanks to the party's leadership.

The WPK which defended socialism despite the worst adversity at the end of the last century is achieving world-startling successes day by day by arousing the Korean people.

Victory and glory will always be in store for the Korean people invariably advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism under the wise leadership of the WPK.
