The Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said in a joint statement on October 3:

Kim Il Sung, eternal President of the DPRK, clarified the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo which indicates the most correct orientation and ways for Korea's reunification at the Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea on October 10, 1980.

The federal formula serves as the most realistic proposal for fair and peaceful reunification in line with the will, wishes and interests of all Koreans.

Leader Kim Jong Il, regarding it as a sacred duty of the nation to successfully carry out the President's cause of national reunification, ushered in the June 15 era of reunification, opening a rosy prospect for the reunification of the country.

Marshal Kim Jong Un is remaining true to the last instructions of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for national reunification.

We reaffirm support for the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.

We extend full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people for national reunification by federal formula under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The Solidarity Committee of Unionists for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Austria released a statement on October 5 urging the south Korean authorities to come out to the negotiating table for the peaceful reunification of Korea.
