They are letting loose a string of sheer sophism that the operation was conducted by a nongovernmental organization of its own accord and there was no legal ground to halt it, openly shielding and actively instigating human scum to scatter leaflets, the article says, and goes on:

The operation is an intolerable provocation to the desire of the fellow countrymen and the trend of the times for the improvement of the north-south ties and a serious hostile act of fostering the mistrust and contradiction between the north and the south and sparking off an armed clash and even a war.

It is, at the same time, a product of the U.S. sinister plot to stem the trend of detente on the Korean Peninsula and the conspiracy of the south Korean authorities, its lackeys.

The situation proves that it is impossible to improve the north-south ties unless the challenge of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad to block the reconciliation and unity of the Korean nation is foiled.

The south Korean authorities should see through the gravity of the situation and behave with discretion, bearing in mind our warning that the prospect for the north-south relations entirely depends on the attitude of the south side.
