Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, and his party on a visit to the DPRK visited the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) on Monday to mark the 69th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. They were greeted by Jo Il Min, chief of the mission, and its staff members. At the talk they informed each other of their organizations' activities and exchanged views on matters of mutual concern. Jo Il Min expressed thanks for the Switzerland-Korea Committee for standing against the frantic war moves of the U.S. and south Korean warmongers and their anti-DPRK provocations and extending full support and solidarity to the struggle of the south Korean people for democratization of society, defence of vital rights and national reunification this year. He said people in every part of south Korea feel growing reverence for President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un this year marking the 34th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the 7th anniversary of the historic October 4 declaration. Korea's reunification should be achieved by the efforts of the Korean people without interference by outside forces and the U.S. and south Korean authorities should give up the anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK and stop the reckless anti-north war exercises and provocations, the chairman noted, adding: All the steps and activities of the DPRK for putting an end to the history of national division and achieving national reunification are fully supported and welcomed by the international community. The Switzerland-Korea Committee extends firm solidarity to the struggle of the Korean people for the reunification of the country. |
