Matteo Carbonelli, secretary general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold a joint seminar of political parties and organizations in the European region, remembrance meeting and other political and cultural events on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
