Hong and Ri came first respectively in women's and men's vault at the championships which was held in China from Oct. 3 to 12

They were greeted by Kim Phyong Hae, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned and their families at Pyongyang Railway Station.

Sportspersons put garlands around their necks and presented bouquets to them.

The players and coaches visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill and paid floral tribute to them.
