Munsu Water Park One Year Old

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- One year has passed since the Munsu Water Park was built on the picturesque bank of the River Taedong. The park has all facilities so that working people and school youth and children can have good rest, regardless of seasons. The first place visitors enter after passing the gatepost having the signboard of "Munsu Water Park" is the lobby of the indoor wading pool where they see the colored plaster statue of leader Kim Jong Il. The pool was built in a peculiar architectural style as it is roofed with three ball trusses and has a good harmony of its magnificent and exquisite appearance. Therefore, they can enjoy the same swimming even in cold winter as they do at sea. The water park has cave-style resting place, 9 saunas with peculiar treatment and welfare service and other facilities to please the visitors. There is a gymnasium where they can play volleyball, basketball and badminton and even enjoy rock-climbing and trampoline. Over the past one year the water park has drawn more than 880,000 people from all walks of life, school youth and children, overseas compatriots and foreigners. |
