Adnan Ismail, general secretary of the Socialist Unionist Party of Syria, said this in a statement on October 8.

He continued:

October 10 is the day marking the 69th founding anniversary of the WPK which was founded by President Kim Il Sung, guided by leader Kim Jong Il, and has dynamically advanced under the leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un.

The WPK has struggled for the happiness of the Korean people and reunification and prosperity of the country and achieved great victory and performed exploits, maintaining a firm independent stand against imperialism under the most difficult conditions for a long time since its foundation.

Progressive mankind including the Syrian people is significantly marking the 69th founding anniversary of the glorious WPK.

I sincerely wish the Korean people greater successes in their struggle for frustrating the moves of the U.S. and its followers to stifle the DPRK and achieving the prosperity of the country under the leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un.
