Important Days of WPK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries on the occasions of the 17th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and its 69th founding anniversary. They included a meeting and book and photo exhibition in Denmark, Sweden, Peru and Angola on October 6 and 7. Displayed on the front walls of the venues of the events were portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. On display there were photos documenting the exploits performed by the President and Kim Jong Il in the party building. Also displayed there were works of the President, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books and photos introducing the history of the WPK. Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, highly praised the President and Kim Jong Il for their exploits performed in party building. He noted that their exploits are being successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK. Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said that the Korean people would firmly defend the sovereignty of the country and dignity of the nation and surely build a thriving nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un. Victor Oliva Miguel, general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru, noted: We will as ever positively apply the experience of the WPK and fully support the WPK and the Korean people in their cause of justice. The acting chairperson of the Committee of Angola for Friendship and Solidarity with Peoples stressed that only victory and glory would be in store for the WPK advancing under the outstanding leadership of Kim Jong Un who is creditably carrying forward the revolutionary cause of the President and Kim Jong Il. Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Denmark and Sweden. |
