The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association in a statement on Oct. 8 said as follows:

The proposal is the most reasonable and fair one which can be accepted by anyone who wants Korea's reunification.

As there have existed differing ideas and social systems in the north and the south of Korea for decades, an attempt to reunify the nation by way of absorbing the other side will naturally cause military conflict.

We want Korea to be reunified peacefully through federal formula.

Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, in a statement on Oct. 3 said as follows:

34 years ago, President Kim Il Sung proposed the idea of founding a federal state by keeping the ideas and social systems in the north and the south of Korea just as they are in order to reunify the nation.

The federal formula calls upon the north and the south to achieve the coexistence and co-prosperity irrespective of the differing ideas and social systems but the "unification by absorption" is quite contrary to this.

I once again extend full support and solidarity to the government and people of the DPRK in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
