Korea Should Be Reunified by Federal Formula: Polish Body

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Korea should be reunified by founding a federal republic while leaving the differing ideas and social systems in the north and the south of Korea as they are, free from foreign forces' interference in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself, said the Polish Branch of the Korean Friendship Association in an article posted on its website on Oct. 4.

The article said:

The publication of the October 4 declaration manifested all Koreans' desire to put an end to the division and confrontation on the Korean Peninsula.

The declaration indicates the ways of boosting the cooperation and exchange between the north and the south of Korea and ensuring peace on the peninsula and achieving the co-prosperity of the nation in the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration, the spirit of By Our Nation Itself.

However, the present south Korean regime is going against the desire and expectation of the Korean nation, negating the above-said declarations.

Although the government of the DPRK set forth proposals for reconciliation and cooperation between the north and the south, the south Korean regime negated them and is more recklessly resorting to the anti-DPRK campaign.

The "unification by absorption" sought by the south Korean regime is an anachronistic daydream as it is contrary to the spirit of the October 4 declaration.
