President Kim Il Sung formed Down-with-Imperialism Union, a new type revolutionary organization, in the early period of his revolutionary activities and provided the organizational and ideological groundwork for party founding in the flames of the revolutionary struggle against the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea.

The greatest feat performed by him is that he successfully realized the cause of party building by meeting all challenges after the liberation of Korea.

The founding of the WPK made it possible for the Korean people to have the staff of the revolution in the struggle to build a new society.

Leader Kim Jong Il successfully carried forward the revolutionary cause pioneered by the President and pursued the Songun policy in all fields, firmly defending socialism in the acute confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialist reactionary forces in the grim situation where socialism collapsed in some countries late in the last century.

I am convinced that the Korean people would continue registering great achievements in the efforts to firmly defend socialism, build a thriving nation and reunify the country under the leadership of the WPK headed by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
