DPRK Team Beats Its Japanese Rival at Asian U-19 Football Championship

| Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team beat its Japanese rival 6:5 at the quarter-finals in the 2014 Asian U-19 Football Championship now under way in Myanmar. It tied its Oman rival 1:1 and trounced its Iraqi rival 2:1, coming second in the group. It drew with its Japanese rival 1:1 at the first and second halves of the match and extra-time play. In the penalty shoot-out the DPRK team beat its Japanese rival 5:4. So, it is qualified to participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in New Zealand next year. |
