U.S. Reckless Attempt at Nuclear War under Fire

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Data proving the U.S. attempt for igniting a nuclear war against the DPRK was disclosed recently. In 2011 the then U.S. Secretary of Defense Panetta informed the south Korean puppet forces of the U.S. stand to "use nuclear weapons if necessary in case of contingency", ballyhooing "nuclear and missile threats from the north". It was also disclosed that he received from the commander of the U.S. forces in south Korea a report that the U.S. scenario for a war against the DPRK included a "program for using nukes" when he visited south Korea in 2010 as director of the CIA. This clearly judges who is the arch criminal working to impose nuclear disaster upon the Korean nation while escalating the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula, Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in a commentary. The commentary goes on: Lurking behind the U.S. opening to media of its attempt at a nuclear war against the DPRK at present is a very sinister aim. Now the inter-Korean relations are on the crucial crossroads of improvement or collapse. All Koreans at home and abroad and the international community fully support and welcome the opportunity for improvement of the north-south relations provided by the DPRK's broadminded and initiative efforts. However, the U.S., displeased with improved inter-Korean relations, made public its plan to use nuclear weapons against the DPRK in a bid to hype the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, prod the south Korean puppet authorities into escalating military tension and step up the preparations for a nuclear war against the DPRK. Now that the U.S. nuclear war moves have reached a reckless phase, the DPRK will further bolster up its nuclear deterrence for self-defence and surely win the final victory in the showdown with the U.S. with nuclear treasured sword. The reckless attempt of the U.S. imperialist maniacs to ignite a nuclear war is bound to go bankrupt. |
