The meeting discussed two agenda items "On thoroughly implementing the decision of the Supreme People's Assembly adopted at the second session of the 13th SPA of the DPRK 'On comprehensively enforcing the universal 12-year compulsory education and decisively improving its quality'" and "On the fulfillment of the third quarter yearly national economy plan and measures for fulfilling the fourth quarter yearly national economy plan."

The reporter and speakers said that thanks to the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un the work for successful enforcement of the universal 12-year compulsory education has made dynamic progress as a work involving the whole state, all people and the whole society, achieving valuable successes demonstrative of the validity and vitality of the party's policy of attaching importance to education.

During the third quarter year, the modern Wisong Scientists Residential Quarter and apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology were built and signal successes were made in major construction sites including large-scale power stations in tiers on the Chongchon River and stockbreeding base in Sepho tableland.

Many ministries and national institutions, provincial, city and county people's committees and thousands of factories and enterprises honored their third quarter yearly national economy plans and hundreds of factories and enterprises carried out their yearly national economy quotas as of the end of September and the production of dozens of important items grew as compared with that in the corresponding period of last year.

The meeting indicated measures and ways for successfully carrying out this year's national economy plan.
