The apartment houses were successfully built on the bank of River Taedong here thanks to the profound loving care of Marshal Kim Jong Un who projects the educators as genuine patriots and revolutionaries and provides them with honor and happiness.

The apartment houses are a good harmony of the Juche character and national identity, originality and convenience and formative art.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Pong Ju, Choe Thae Bok, Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officers and soldier-builders of the units of the Korean People's Army which took part in the construction, officials, teachers and researchers of the university.

Choe Thae Bok, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made an address.

The completion of the apartment houses towering high, reflecting the spirit of the country making a leap forward to become an education power and powerhouse of talents marks another auspicious event glorifying this meaningful year featured by a great heyday in construction, he noted, and continued:

Modern apartment houses were built for the educators. This strikingly demonstrates the WPK's idea of attaching importance to education and the training of talents.

He underlined the need for the teachers, researchers and officials of the university to train more pace-setters and standard-bearers in the campaign for pushing back the frontiers of the latest science and technology as required by the age of knowledge-based economy with such audacious mettle and spirit of national self-esteem as looking out over the world with their feet firmly planted on their land, and thus live up to the party's great benevolence.
