Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted an article titled "Kim Il Sung, for reunified Korea" on its website on October 3 on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK). The website in a preface said that the Korean nation has dynamically advanced the reunification cause despite the evermore undisguised obstructive maneuvers and challenges of the separatist forces at home and abroad, adding this would be unthinkable without the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung who made great efforts for the reunification of the Korean nation. It noted in an article subtitled "In the transparent idea of great national unity": Kim Il Sung always put the great national unity above all and made sure that everything was subordinated to it to realize the reunification of the country. He thought that it is necessary to transcend differences of ideology, ism and social systems between the north and the south to achieve the great national unity and it is most important to put the interests of the nation above all. He also set forth the three principles of national reunification--independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity--which became the core of the historical July 4 joint statement. The ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation set forth by him in April 1993 serves as a great programme of the national unity for the Korean people aspiring for reunification. It is called three charters for national reunification together with the three principles of national reunification and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo. The website said that he clarified the overall features of reunified Korea by setting forth the proposal at the Sixth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea in October 1980. It said in an article with subtitle "Even in the last days of his life" that he left the last autograph of his life on a document related to the national reunification. |
