Displayed at the venue of the show were flowers of the sun reflecting the profound reverence of all people for the peerless great persons against the background of Lake Chon of Mt. Paektu.

Present at the show were Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, and other officials of the association, Koreans in China, the DPRK deputy consul general in Shenyang, members of the DPRK branch staying in Hunchun and foreigners.

Speeches were made at the show.

The speakers said it is great honor to hold the show of flowers of the sun in Hunchun which is associated with the feats performed by President Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle on the occasion of the 69th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The Korean people are bringing about leaping progress and innovations in building a thriving nation under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, holding the President and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages, they noted.

There are many beautiful and rare flowers in the world but Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia are the only famous flowers which go by the august names of the peerless great persons, they said.
