The newspaper said:

President Kim Il Sung advanced the proposal for founding the DFRK on October 10 in, 1980.

The proposal calls for reunifying the country by founding a Federal Republic through the establishment of a unified national government on the condition that the north and the south recognize and tolerate each other's ideas and social systems, a government in which the two sides are represented on an equal footing and under which they exercise regional autonomy with equal rights and duties.

The cause of Korea's reunification is being carried forward under the leadership of HE Kim Jong Un.

The DPRK holds fast to the banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration for the reunification of the country.
