Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Nepalese political parties and bodies issued a joint statement denouncing the U.S. and its followers for their anti-DPRK human rights campaign on Oct. 17. They were the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the Nepal Communist Party (United), Nepal Worker-Peasant Party, Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, Nepal Institute for the Juche Studies, Nepalese Association for Supporting the Songun Politics, Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, National Press Club of Nepal, Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal and the Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea. The statement said: All countries including the DPRK have the right to preserve their sovereignty, dignity and independent development. The U.S. is putting the UN under its control to abuse the UN for its selfish purposes and encroaching upon the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK and the choice of its people. The U.S. is also pulling up the DPRK over its "human rights issue". We regard that it is an independent right of all countries to pursue human rights policy in line with their realistic requirements and the people's interests, not bound by "human rights level" defined by specific forces. We demand the U.S. and its followers stop at once such unreasonable acts as interfering in the internal affairs of independent member nations by dint of fabricated "human rights issue" and "report on human rights", misleading international public and tying to bring them for discussion even at the UN. |
