S. Korean Papers Condemn Regime for Conniving at Leaflet-scattering Operations
Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean paper Hangyore in an editorial on Oct. 25 lashed out at the south Korean puppet regime for conniving at the anti-DPRK leaflet-scattering operations of the conservative bodies.

The editorial said that the anti-DPRK leaflet-scattering operations of the conservative bodies were not just a "balloon game" but an extremely dangerous war gamble.

It continued:

In particular, it is all the more imperative for the inhabitants in the areas of Phaju and Ryonchon, Kyonggi Province where such operations are planned, to stop these reckless operations.

Such operations can be prevented in advance by invoking law.

A civic body recently attempted to fly a balloon of leaflets calling for instituting a special law on the ferry Sewol in an area near Kwanghwamun in Seoul only to be stopped for the mere reason that the area is a no-fly zone.

This does not mean that there is no legal ground to check such an operation as claimed by the regime but it is a proof that the regime is not willing to stop the leaflet-scattering operations of the conservative bodies.

If there exists even one percent of the danger of war, it is the duty of the regime to prevent it in advance.

On the same day the south Korean paper Hankuk Ilbo in an editorial said that the operations will only cause conflict with the north and contradiction with local inhabitants. The "government" should defuse military tension and protect life and properties of the people, it added.
