He congratulated Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir upon his reelection as chairman of the Sudanese National Congress and the successful congress.

He expressed belief that the friendly relations between the two parties and two peoples with a long history and tradition would continue developing on good terms, wishing the Sudanese people big successes in their work for the prosperity of the country under the leadership of the Sudanese National Congress.

Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir asked Kim Yong Nam once again to convey his heartfelt regards to Kim Jong Un, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

On the same day, Kim Yong Nam and his party visited the Schoolchildren's Palace in Khartoum.

Meanwhile, inter-sector talks between the DPRK and Sudan took place and an agreement on the cooperation in the field of public health and traditional medicine between the governments of the DPRK and Sudan was signed.
