Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to hold a meeting, seminar, lecture and other political and cultural events on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
