Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- Telemedicine service system established in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has been proving effective with each passing day. Kim Man Yu Hospital, in particular, renders creditable telemedicine service to county and provincial hospitals across the country, performing online surgical operations. Jo Won Chol, a section chief of the hospital, told KCNA that such telemedicine service is given on the basis of advance analysis of patients' clinical charts through e-mail. He further said: The system, run at government expense, has come under spotlight among world's medical workers. Participants in the WHO South-East Asia Regional Technical Consultation on Telemedicine, which took place here last year, admired the system, because it was established throughout the country in a short span of time on a high level and the service is given free of charge to all the people. |
