Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, and Juha Kieksy, chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected co-chairmen of the memorial committee.

The committee decided to organize various events to honor the memory of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the third anniversary of his demise.
