DPRK Guarantees Human Rights at Highest Level: Russian Paper
Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The 39th issue of the Russian newspaper Veteran carried an article titled "Everything for welfare of people".

All citizens above 17 in the DPRK irrespective of sex, nationality, occupation, property status, education, party affiliation, political view and religious belief have rights to vote and to be elected, the article said, and went on:

In the DPRK people freely take part in political activities and the rights to speech, assembly and religious belief are guaranteed by law.

In the DPRK free from exploitation and oppression and without the gap between the rich and the poor everybody is provided with necessary conditions for food, clothing and housing by the state and enjoys an equal and stable life.

It is none other than the DPRK where all members of the society are given all rights including rights to work and rest and free education and healthcare.

The state regards housing construction as an important work for providing the people with conditions for cultural and stable life and pays deep attention to it.

Ordinary teachers, researchers and working people are provided with flats free in the modern apartment houses for educators of Kim Il Sung University, those in Changjon Street, Unha Scientists Street, etc. built in Pyongyang in recent years.

The state looks after the living of the old people without supporters, children and disabled persons in a responsible manner.

Women have equal rights with men and enjoy special benefits from the state and society.

Human rights of the people in the DPRK are fully guaranteed because the country is guided by the Juche idea.

It is quite natural that human rights are guaranteed at the highest level in the country guided by this idea.
