Rodong Sinmun brands the south Korean authorities' extension of the transfer of OPECON in conspiracy and nexus with the U.S. as an unprecedented act of treachery leaving the military sovereignty to the tender mercy of the outside forces for an indefinite period and an unpardonable criminal act to realize their scenario for invading the north, backed by their American master.

The puppet regime cited the lack of independent capability to cope with the "north's threat" as a reason for the extension of the transfer of OPECON but this is nothing but a clumsy trick to escape criticism at home and abroad and cover up its sinister intention, the paper notes, and goes on:

Its reckless action is an inevitable product of the traitors' inveterate evil practice to stay in power and do harm to compatriots in the north and their submission to the U.S.

The DPRK will never allow the U.S. and the south Korean regime's extension of the transfer of OPECON but strongly react against it.

Minju Joson notes the army and people of the DPRK will never tolerate the above-said action for aggression but join the compatriots in south Korea and abroad in strongly countering it.
