Dinko Zhelev, head of the Organizational Department of the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary exploits of Kim Jong Il and significantly organize political and cultural events including a meeting, seminar and photo exhibition on the occasion of the third anniversary of his demise.
