Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- New kinds of building materials have been developed in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to win popularity among users. They include aqueous putty and organic distemper, produced by the Korea Phyongsung Trading Corporation. The aqueous putty is made of calcium, talc, white cement and composite additive with water. It is very strong in adhesion and water resistance and easy to handle. The organic distemper (for internal and external building walls) is made of major vehicle, mineral-salt filler and tinge and functional additives. This paint does not affect human body at all. The lowest temperature for its workability is 5 degrees Centigrade and its drying time is 12 hours. Its endurance at normal temperature is 5-10 years. According to Pak Sung Gil, manager of the corporation, the above-said materials were applied to such buildings as the swimming gymnasium of Kim Il Sung University, Rungna Dolphinarium and Ponghwa Art Theatre in Pyongyang. |
