The paper said:

The DPRK-proposed federal formula calls for reunifying the country by a federal formula on the basis of the great national unity, allowing the differing ideologies and social systems in the north and the south of Korea as they are.

Several decades have passed since the federal formula was proposed, but it is still fully supported by the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad as it is the only proposal for preventing military conflict and averting a war on the Korean Peninsula.

The proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK) is one of the main contents of the three charters for national reunification formulated by Kim Jong Il.

Lots of initiatives and proposals have been made so far to solve the issue of national reunification but the proposal for founding the DFRK is the most realistic and reasonable one for ensuring peace and security on the peninsula and realizing the cherished desire of the Korean people for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country free from any foreign interference.

The Korean people and the world progressives wish to see the federal formula put into practice, the Korean Peninsula reunified and peace, security and stability ensured there.
