S. Korean Authorities Flayed for Abandoning OPECON

Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on Nov. 4 carried an article accusing the authorities of abandoning the right to wartime operation control (OPECON).

Voices justifying the U.S. forces' exercise of OPECON are heard from south Korean conservatives, the article said.

Those countries keeping the alliance with the U.S. did not leave OPECON to the tender mercy of the U.S. forces, it added.

South Korea's behavior of leaving OPECON to the tender mercy of the U.S. is a product of the deformed south Korea-U.S. relations, it held.
