Minju Joson Discloses Aim of S. Korean Authorities' Moves to Institute "Charter for Unification"

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet group has gone so impudent as to raise again the issue of instituting the "charter for unification", which had been raised by traitor Lee Myung Bak during his tenure of office, in order to take credit to itself. Minju Joson Sunday says this in a commentary. The inter-Korean relations have been pushed back and driven into the catastrophic phase as now as a result of 5 years of improper handling of the issue by traitor Lee Myung Bak and 2 years by the present chief executive, the commentary notes, and goes on: The present ruling quarters should be held fully accountable for this. Nevertheless, the puppet group is seeking to institute what it called the "charter for unification" though it should make an apology before the nation. Lurking behind this is a sinister intention to weaken the historical significance of the three charters for national reunification supported by all Koreans and the north-south joint declarations which embody the charters, and to discourage the public at home and abroad from showing concern and support for them. This is also a revelation of a black-hearted intention to mislead the public opinion by giving impression that they are interested in the unification issue and spearhead it, cover up their true colors as obstructers to reunification while escalating confrontation with the fellow countrymen and thus speed up the preparations for realizing "unification under liberal democracy" and give wide publicity to the feat of the chief executive. Explicitly speaking, the puppet forces aim at the confrontation of social systems between the north and the south and the "unification of social systems". The north-south relations will only deteriorate as long as the puppet group resorts to the farce of instituting the criminal "charter for reunification" while dreaming of "unification of social systems". |
