Yousfe Al Amiri, president of the Kuwait House of Works who doubles as chairman of the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the memorial committee.

The committee set days from October 30 to December 17 as remembrance period and decided to publish works of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and hold political and cultural events such as a remembrance meeting, seminar, photo exhibition and film show in the period.
