S. Korean Military Gangsters' Hoguk War Drills under Fire
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet newspaper Thongil News on Nov. 9 carried an article denouncing the puppet military authorities for escalating Hoguk war drills against the north in a bid to increase the danger of a war.

The article recalled that largest-ever military forces are involved in the drills which started Monday.

The drills which have been staged since 1996 were conducted with main emphasis on joint and combined exercises to carry out operation plans at their beginning, the article noted, and went on:.

From 2008 corps-level mobile drills were combined with exercises for implementing operation plans and they were escalated into mobile exercises of large units in the front area. It was against this backdrop that the Yonphyong Island shelling took place in 2010.

The subsequent period witnessed a sharp increase in the scale of the drills. This year's are the largest-ever.

There is concern that the Yonphyong Island shelling may reoccur.

Warning that the drills are now under way under the worst situation where the south-north relations are at rock bottom due to the anti-DPRK leaflet scattering operations, in particular, the article urged the military authorities to behave with reason.
